Fire & Salt Co. ships once a week on Mondays or Tuesdays every week, unless notified. 
If you are picking up your order at the specified locations & dates, please choose "Pickup" at checkout we will contact you.

General Information

Your products should be frozen, partially frozen, or cool to the touch when you open the package. Partially thawed products can be re-frozen. Fire & Salt Co. provides suggested cooking instructions with our perishable products. It is the responsibility of the consumer to follow all health and safety guidelines when thawing and handling products.'

Packages may contain partially-dissipated dry ice.  This is common in the shipping process. Avoid touching any remaining dry ice with bare skin. You may leave dry ice inside the cooler to evaporate or use gloves to remove and dispose of the ice in a well-ventilated outdoor location, safely away from children and pets.

Our products can only be shipped within the continental United States. We do not ship internationally.

Quality Controlled Product Packaging

Our premium locally sourced meat and gourmet goods are individually vacuum-sealed, packaged in our beautiful white boxes, surrounded by enough dry ice and insulators to keep meat at the desired temperature during transit.

Note: Please allow 3-5 business days for processing time in addition to the shipping transit times. Fire & Salt Co. charges a calculated rate per shipping address. Packages are shipped via ground and/or 3-Day select services (ONLY 4 Day Shipping Zones).

Tracking Information

Upon processing an order for shipment, emails are generated to each customer with UPS tracking numbers. Please refer to this email with UPS tracking ID# for a more precise delivery date. If you have any questions regarding your order, please contact our office at 641-322-1015.

Local Pick-Up

  • We ship all perishable orders weekly on Mondays or Tuesdays, unless otherwise stated.
  • Non-perishables will ship on Mondays or Tuesdays, unless otherwise stated.
  • Shipping is Only Available Within the Continental United States.


We do not ship internationally. We CANNOT ship to P.O. Boxes, but we are happy to deliver to rural routes with complete addresses and telephone numbers.

Drop-Off Locations

We have pick-up locations in West Point, Fremont, Norfolk, Lincoln, Omaha and Sioux City every week / month, so please check our website for the specified dates we will be in each city.


Processing & Delivery Schedule

Weather Delays 

Fire & Salt Co. reserves the right to temporarily refrain from processing orders based on severe weather in the transit process. Customers will be notified immediately via phone and/or email of the slight delay. Usually occurring in winter weather, typical delays are 1-2 business days.

Fire & Salt Co. strives to provide prompt delivery of our products. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing time in addition to the shipping transit times. Due to the perishable nature of our products, we ship based on the transit times from our facility to the destination within the same calendar week. 

For example, an order received on Wednesday, going to California, would not be shipped until the following Monday. Please refer to the zone schedule below to estimate delivery times.

UPS Ground

We ship UPS Ground to customers that choose that option. Midwestern states can expect their boxes approximately 1-2 days after shipment and coastal states can expect their boxes approximately 3-4 days after shipment. There is also an option for 3-Day Select shipping available to 4 day zones ONLY.

**PLEASE NOTE: This schedule is provided to offer an estimate and is not a guarantee of delivery times. While we make every effort to meet these guidelines, periods of increased volume (including holidays, weather and unforeseen circumstances) may extend the processing time of shipments. For transit zones close to Illinois, orders may arrive earlier than expected. 

Addresses & Availability

Fire & Salt Co. offers no guarantee of delivery with incorrect addresses. Please ensure all shipping addresses are correct prior to submitting your order. Packages are clearly marked “perishable” and will expire if not kept cold.
 
It is the responsibility of the consumer to ensure that the contents of the package can be refrigerated promptly upon delivery. Fire & Salt Co. is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or perish due to the recipient not being available at the time of delivery. 

It is the responsibility of the sender to ensure someone is available to receive a gift package at the time of delivery. It is the buyer’s responsibility to make any special arrangements upon delivery for any order shipped to any apartment address. Typically, UPS will deliver to an apartment lobby. Please note that UPS will deliver to your doorstep with “No Signature Required.”
